So here is a little bit about me.
My name is Cheryl Benteau. I grew up in the small town of Point Aux Gaul, Newfoundland. I am an only child. I graduated from St. Joseph's Academy which is a P-12 school. My graduating class had a whopping 16 students. I studied at Memorial University in the beautiful historical city of St, John's. I received a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics and of course, a Bachelor of Education.
My first year of teaching was at LeGallais Memorial in Isle Aux Morts, a small town on the west coast of Newfoundland. After my partner finished university, Michelin offered him a job as a Mechanical Engineer, so we packed up and moved to the beautiful Annapolis Valley. Since moving here, I have taught at Annapolis West Education Center and Middleton Regional High School. While I like teaching all subjects, my favorite is math!
I currently live in Berwick with my husband Blair, my daughter Scarlett (who is almost two) and our dog Cinna. My family and friends are very important to me and I spend a lot of time with them. We love camping, hiking, snowshoeing, boating, and lots of other outside activities. I love swimming and playing ball hockey. I also enjoy travelling, dancing, reading, and social media. I like things neat and tidy. I dislike cooking and I'm a bad singer (who sings too much).
Yes, I think that pretty well sums me up!
