Welcome back! Hope everyone had a lovely March break. Today we continued working on equivalent fractions, and addition fractions, both with and without common denominators. A small 3 page practice booklet was given out in class today. Finish for homework.

We have been looking at common denominators and adding fractions. Review your notes at home. Today we all made our own fraction strips which we will use over the next few weeks. So keep them safe! Don't lose them!

Today we wrote our math test, then we began Unit 5- Operations with fractions. Today we looked at common denominators/ like and unlike denominators. Students should review their notes at home and finish those few examples Mrs. B wrote on the board.

We are been busy preparing for math test on Thursday. Students have been given assignment and study guide that we have been working through. 7F is due tomorrow, 7H is due Wed. The test is on Unit 4 Circles. Students will need to know radius, diameter, circumference, area of parallelograms, triangles and circles as well as interpreting a and constructing circle graphs. Study hard!

We have been looking at area. We have discussed area of a parallelogram and triangle. Tomorrow we will begin to look at the areas of a circle. Also, make sure you know radius, diameter, circumference and central angles. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Benteau for help.

We have been working through solving percent problems. This is Section 3.7 in the text. Students were giving a booklet of questions to work through, and they are more practice in the text book on page 115 -116 for those who are a head. This is the last section of the text, so we will be having a test next week. A assignment/review will be given before the weekend.

We worked on turning fractions into decimals, with and without a denominator of 10, 100 or 1000 and repeating vs terminating decimals. Finish pages 88-89 # 1-10 for homework.
